Shares of Dilip Buildcon rose nearly 2 percent intraday Monday as company signed concession agreement with NHAI. Highways builder Dilip Buildcon today said that its six wholly owned arms have executed contracts with the National Highways Authority of India for road projects aggregating to Rs 6,055 crore. The highway projects will be executed in Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra under hybrid annuity mode. DBL BANGALORE NIDAGATTA HIGHWAYS PRIVATE LIMITED and DBL NIDAGATTA MYSORE HIGHWAYS PRMTE LIMITED, the wholly owned subsidiaries of Dilip Buildcon Limited has executed the concession agreement with the National Highways Authority of India (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) on April 20, 2018 to execute the projects.

Dilip Buildcon will use the five SPVs to undertake the new hybrid annuity mode(HAM) projects.
Dilip Buildcon on Friday announced incorporation of five new special purpose vehicles (SPVs) for projects worth Rs6,306.9 crore awarded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
“The company has incorporated five new SPVs to undertake the new HAM (Hybrid Annuity Mode) projects”, the company said in a filing to BSE.
The SPV firms are DBL Nidagatta Mysore Highways, DBL Gorhar Khalrahrnda Highways, DBL Mangloor Highways , DBL Borgaon Watambare Highways and DBL Mangalwedha Solapur Highways, the filing said.

Highway developer Dilip Buildcon on Monday said it has bagged a Rs 125 crore project for construction of parallel taxi track at Goa airport. ".The Airports Authority of India has declared Dilip Buildcon Ltd, Bhopal, as lowest-1 (L-1) bidder for construction of parallel taxi track and associated civil and electrical works at Dabolim Airport, Goa," Dilip Buildcon said in a BSE filing.

The company has successfully completed the project of rehabilitation and upgradation of Mandla—Pindrai and Salimnabad—Vilayatkalan major district road intermediate laning/two—laning with paved/hard shoulder in the state of Madhya Pradesh on engineering procurement and construction (EPC) mode,” Dilip Buildcon said in a BSE filing.
Zuari cable stayed bridge is a high demand project as the existing bridge in Zuari River connecting Panjim and Mangalore does not cater to heavy vehicle movements due to its poor condition.
Construction of the Zuari cable stayed bridge includes building a bridge across the river Zuari on NH-17/ NH 66 on Panjim – Mangalore section in the State of Goa. The Zuari cable stayed bridge is 640m long with central navigational span of 360m and end span on both sides of 140m. This makes the bridge the 2nd longest and widest cable stay bridge in India. A tourist observatory and restaurant at the 110m high tower is planned on the bridge.
Zuari cable stayed bridge has 8 (4+4) lanes with 27m wide dual carriageways and a centre median of 10.7m. Bridge deck is of composite structure (steel structure and concrete) with a temporary steel walkway connecting both sides of embankments and pylon foundation locations for construction logistics. The bridge deck is fabricated at site using high tech robotic welding equipment. It is transported by barge into the river, where it is lifted and erected by lifting frames.
DBL has joined hands with a Ukraine based company, Mostobudivelnyi Zahin Limited (MBZ) with a 74% and 26% stake respectively, to construct the cable stay bridge. MBZ has experience in construction of bridges including suspension bridge of 840 metres with a central span of 520 metres and is the technical partner to Dilip Buildcon Limited for this project. MBZ’s involvement is to support in design, technical matters and execution.
Equipment used for this bridge includes 55 x 15 m Dumb Barge, 12 x 8 m Dumb Barge, 25 x 10 m Dumb Barge, 60 x 13 m Dumb Barge, MAIT Piling Rigs, Tower Cranes, and Robotic Welding System Equipment.
In April 2015, the State of Punjab awarded DBL a contract for work on a 45.9 km stretch on National Highway No.15 that connects the bustling city of Amritsar with the hub of Harike, through Tarn Taran. DBL will undertake development, maintenance and management of this stretch. Additionally, DBL will work to widen and strengthen the existing road by creating a four-lane highway.
In Aug 2015, DBL was awarded a contract to rehabilitate and upgrade the road between Jabalpur, Mandla and Chilpi by MPRDC. The stretch is part of NH 12A, which connects Jabalpur to Barela, Udaipur, Bijadandi, Mandla, Madhopur, Anjania, and Bichhiya in Madhya Pradesh.
The highway passes through the famous Kanha National Park and the stretch where work was underway passes through rolling and hilly terrain. Poor drainage conditions caused by granulated black soil in the region led to damage and distress, prompting MPRDC to issue an RFP.
The 92.5 km stretch of NH 12A has been upgraded to a two-lane highway with paved shoulders ahead of schedule. DBL received the Provisional Completion Certificates (PCC) in Oct 2017, which entitles it to a maximum bonus amount of Rs. 12,45,24,000.
A contract for Rs.585.78 crores was signed between NHAI and DBL in June 2014 to rehabilitate and upgrade the road from Kerala Border to Kollegala. Part of NH 212, from KM 136.600 to KM 268.475, the road connects Kerala to Kollegala, the largest taluk of Karnataka. The highway project was approved under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase IV. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs also gave the approval for two-laning the road with Paved Side Shoulders (PSS) of the highway.
The project will expedite improvement of infrastructure in Karnataka and also reduce the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic, plying between the Kerala Border - Kollegal. NH-212 connects Kozhikode in Kerala to Kollegal in Karnataka and passes through important towns of Gundlupet, Nanjangad, Mysore and T-Narsasipur in Karnataka. Development of this stretch will also help in uplifting the socio-economic condition of this region. It will also increase employment potential for local labourers in the road project area.
NHAI entrusted the four-laning of Ghaghra Bridge - Varanasi section of NH 233 to DBL in September 2015. Starting at KM 121.800, uptil KM 180.420, the road starts from Ghaghra Bridge Abutment on Basti Side to Bhudanpur Urban Section in Uttar Pradesh.
With the aim of enhancing traffic capacity and safety on a 50.86 km-stretch of NH65, NHAI awarded DBL an EPC project in 2015. The mandate is to expand the existing two-lane carriageway to a four-lane carriageway with paved shoulders. The project value is INR 486 cr and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
The corridor passes through the agriculture-oriented districts of Kurukshetra and Kaithal. The project road, which traverses through many small towns and villages, will provide better connectivity in the area.
Connecting the buzzing city of Vijaywada to the ancient port town of Machilipatnam, a 64.61 km stretch of NH 65 is being upgraded to a four-lane highway. Awarded by NHAI in 2016, the project is being undertaken in the EPC mode. The project value is INR 740 cr and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
The Central Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure had approved four-lane works of Vijayawada-Machilipatnam in October 2011. The new road will enable faster movement of agricultural goods, ensuring farmers get paddy, cotton, tobacco, chillies, and sugarcane to the main marketing facility.
Rehabilitation of the 55.52 km four-lane road between Chichra - Kharagpur was entrusted by NHAI to DBL in October, 2016. DBL is currently ensuring four-laning with paved shoulders of this bustling NH6 section between KM 185.150 and KM 134.400. The completion period for this project is 30 months.
The road connects the sleepy and beautiful village of Chichra in Paschim Medinipur district to the bustling city of Kharagpur in West Bengal.
A bid was signed off by NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), giving DBL (Dilip Buildcon Limited) the responsibility of constructing ‘Four Lucknow-Sultanpur' Qection of NH 56 (New NH-731) from km.11.500 (Design Chainage lun.11.500) to lun.134.700 (Design Chainage lun.138.925) (Total Length-127.425 lun.) in the State of Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase-IV on Hybrid Annuity Mode’ in October 2016.
DBL undertakes the Six-laning of highway work in Anandapuram–Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-5 from Km.681 to Km.731 in the State of Andhra Pradesh under “Bharatmala Pariyojana on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The bid cost of the NHAI project is Rs 1,959 crore and it will be executed in the hybrid annuity mode by Dilip Buildcon. the project will be 30 months and a total 50.8 kms will be covered.
Once the road is widened, vehicles plying from Srikakulam to Rajahmundry can be diverted at Anandapuram to reach Anakapalli without passing through the city. Likewise, vehicles from Rajahmundry can be diverted from Anakapali to Anandapuram where the original Chennai-Kolkata highway connects.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the six-laning of the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway project to Dilip Buildcon.
The project road, which forms a section of NH 275, connects the IT capital with Karnataka’s cultural capital of Mysuru. The proposed expressway would also connect Bengaluru with places like Mangaluru, Kodagu, parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
